The shirt is made from a wool flannel which features the classic red and black checked pattern. It features a button front as well as two breast pockets which also fasten with buttons. The shirt features a typical 1940s collar shape and has long sleeves which end in a barrel cuff.

Inside the shirt the original label is still present and features the maker's name of 'Woolrich' and a graphic of sheep. Various details on the label date this to being made in the 1940s before 1947 when the label was changed for a new version. There is also a size tag underneath the label which bears the size of '15'.

The shirt should fit a 38" - 40" chest well depending on desired fit. When laid flat it measures -

Outside arm - 24 1/4"
