An original pair of men's trousers dating from the 1930s and in good condition.
These trousers are typical of those made in the interior war period and worn by men in Great Britain. They are made from a black coloured barathea wool and feature a high rise waist, button fly and fishtail back which are all typical inter-war features. Straight slash pockets are located to each hip and there are no rear pockets. Buttons are positioned around the waist to which braces can be attached.
The trouser will suit someone of a 30" waist and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 15 1/4"
Rise - 15"
Rear rise - 21"
Inside leg - 31 1/2"
Outside leg - 45"
Cuff - 9 3/4"
The trousers are in good condition considering their age and are still wearable. They show signs of wear and use, particularly to the seat. There is also a small hole by the buttons on the fly although this is not seen when the trousers are worn and there is a repair to the bottom of the left hand pocket. Please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that these are a vintage, pre-worn item which may have other small issues commensurate with age.
A good pair of original 1930s trousers which have typical period details.
