An original men's five button navy blue waistcoat dating from the 1940s.
This waistcoat is typical of those made and worn during the 1930s and 1940s. Made from a navy blue coloured wool and lined with striped cotton, the waistcoat features a five button front and four welt pockets. The back of the waistcoat is made from cotton and features a cinch back belt and buckle as is usually found during this period. What is particularly nice about this waistcoat is that it has an extra button hole to the front which is designed to accommodate a pocket watch chain.
The waistcoat will suit a 36" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -
Chest - 18 1/4"
Length - 23"
The waistcoat is in good condition for its age with only limited to signs of wear and use. Overall it displays well but please bear in mind that this is a vintage item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A classic 1930s waistcoat in a great colour.
