An original pair of men's morning striped trousers which date from the 1930s and are in good condition.
These trousers are typical of the period featuring a twin pleated front and a high rise waist. They are made from a striped fabric of greys and black in the traditional morning style which would have been a common sight during this period. Straight slash pockets are located to the hips and the fly fastens with buttons. More buttons are located around the top of the waistband to which braces can be attached and the bottom of each leg features a turn up.
The trousers will suit a 35" waist and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 17 1/2"
Rise - 14 1/2"
Rear rise - 19 1/2""
Inside leg - 28"
Outside leg - 41"
Cuff - 8"
The trousers are in good condition for their age with some signs of wear and use. There are no serious flaws although there are a couple of very small holes to the crotch which are illustrated in picture 4. They are still very wearable but please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-owned item so may have small flaws commensurate with age.
A good pair of British men's trousers from the inter-war period.
