An original pair of French Corduroy trousers dating from the 1920s.

This style of trousers was extremely popular with French labourers, Artisans and workers throughout the mid-Century period. Made from a thick, white coloured corduroy material; the trousers feature a high rise waist and button fly as well as straight slash pockets at the hips. Typical early features include the flat front, narrow 7 1/2" opening at the cuff and cinch-back rear. There is also a sall ticket fitted below the waistband which is another nice period detail.

The trousers will suit a 32" - 34" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat measure -

Waist - 17"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 19 1/2"
Inside leg - 27"
Outside leg - 38"
Cuff - 7 1/2"

The trousers are in worn condition as can be seen in the pictures. There are various marks and some staining as well as wear to the pocket openings including a slight loss of stitching just below the right pocket. There is also some wear at the bottom of each cuff. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-owned pair of work trousers.

A classic pair of 1920s French work trousers with some great details.
