An original men's double breasted waistcoat dating from the 1920s.
This style of waistcoat was popular in the first couple of decades of the 20th Century. It features a striking double breasted closure which fastens with dark brown coloured buttons. The interior is lined with a yellow-cream coloured loose weave cotton and the back features the usual cinch-back belt and buckle arrangement.
The waistcoat is a small size which will suit someone of around a 36" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -
Chest - 18 3/4"
Length - 23"
The waistcoat is in good condition for its age and displays well. It has some signs of wear and age and a small section of stitching has pulled away at the very top of the rear seam as detailed in the pictures.
All in all a nice original early waistcoat in a great double breasted design!
