An original British made Black Lounge Jacket dating from the 1920s and in good condition.

This style of jacket was extremely popular in the Edwardian and interwar period. Often referred to as a stroller jacket, this style was seen as a more casual alternative to full morning dress and was popular with professionals working in the town and city for many years. The jacket is cut in a typically early style with a two button front, notched lapel and narrow shoulder displacement. A french cuff can be found to each sleeve which is also typical of this style of coat. All the buttons are fabric covered and the interior is fully lined and features two pockets. THe jacket is cut short in the body and features no rear vent which are again typical traits of this era.

The jacket will suit around a 36" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -

Chest - 20"
Inside arm - 18 1/2"
Outside arm - 25 3/4"
Length 0 28 1/2"
Shoulders - 17 3/4"

The jacket is in good condition for its age and it is still very wearable. There are some light marks to the front which can be seen in the pictures as well as a very small repair to the sleeve, also pictured. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a pre-worn vintage item of around 100 years old!

A great looking vintage stroller jacket!
