Late 20th Century French Workwear Trousers by 'Adolphe Lafont'

Code: 51995

SOLD

An original pair of French workwear trousers in blue made by 'Adolphe Lafont'.

This type of trousers is synonymous with artisans, workers and labourers of the mid-century period  in Europe and is now an extremely iconic jacket. Whilst these trousers date from the latter part of the 20th Century, the cut and materials remain unchanged from earlier examples making them a good alternative.

The trousers are made from a blue coloured sanforized cotton and feature black plastic buttons and a metal hook and eye to fasten to the fly. Belt loops are fitted around the waist and a small ticket picket is also present. Slash pockets are located to the hips, a spanner pocket can be found to the left leg and the rear of the trousers feature a single pocket.

The Trousers will fit around a 33" waist depending on desired fit. When laid flat they measure -

Waist - 17"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 16"
Inside leg - 28"
Outside leg - 39"
Cuff - 9"

The condition of the trousers is good with some signs of wear and use. There are fade marks and staining but they have a great overall look to them. They may have other small issues commensurate with age but overall are very wearable.  Please study the picture before purchasing and bear in mind that these are a pair of pre-worn workwear trousers.

A nice pair of trousers with plenty of classic details.
