A beautiful original French made ladies chore dress jacket dating from the 1940s and in fantastic new old stock condition.
This style of work dress was popular in the mid Century period in France. Designed as a functional work garment to be worn over the top of a day dress, this piece has typical utilitarian features. It is made from a 'salt and pepper' sanforised cotton and features a single breasted closure to the front which fastens with buttons. There is a patch pocket located to the left breast and two large patch pockets at the hips. The coat also comes with a matching waist belt which is secured with a plated metal slide buckle.
Inside the coat the original label is still present and is bright a legible. It features typical period graphics along with the brand name of 'Solda'. There is another smaller label to the skirt which appears to feature the numbers '34'.

Shoulders - 15 1/2"
Length - 45"
The coat is in excellent new old stock condition and has clearly never been worn or laundered. There is no no damage or flaws but please bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-owned item.
