A beautiful original WW2 period Royal Flying Corps wings in excellent condition.
During the Second World War those men who had qualified as pilots with the RFC in the previous conflict still retained the right to wear this badge. This example is very similar to WW2 period pilots wings, so was almost certainly made at this time for a veteran to wear on his new uniform.
These wings are of the flat variety and feature 10 silk feathers to each wing. A Kings crown surmounts the letters RFC in the centre.
A very rare wing in fantastic condition which would compliment any RAF or RFC collection.
