An original pair of United States Navy Cracker Jack Bell Bottom Trousers dating from the 1960-70s and made by 'Seafarers'.
Seafarers were a prolific manufacturer of private purchase uniform items during this period. The trousers are made from wool and feature a buttoning flap front and a wide, bell bottomed leg, as was tradiationally worn in the Navy. Inside the trousers feature colourful embroidery which would have been done as a souvenier whilst on shore leave in Hong Kong, Taiwan or similar.
The original label is still present and bears the manufacturers name of 'Seafarers'.
The trousers are in worn, issued condition with some staining. There are some holes including one to the sear and the stitching has come away to the seam of the leg at the cuff as detailed in the pictures. These flaws are reflected in the price.
Whilst not in perfect condition these trousers still display well and could suit a re-enactor or collector well.
