An original pair of United States Air Force sunglasses dating from the 1960s and complete with their original case.
These sunglasses are a classic 'aviator' style with which feature chrome plates frames with extra bridge piece for strength and smoked glass in a green colour. The arms end with sprung sections which wrap around the wearers ear, the end of which is slightly sharpe and may benefit from filing. The condition is good and the lenses are fairly clear with some small scratches. One of the arms could also use with being tightened.
The glasses come complete with their original case which bears the USAF winged star logo to the front along with the title of 'Glasses, Flying Sun'. After this is the contract number of CONTR. NO. 27-6-4937. The case fastens with a metal press stud which is marked 'YEA LUEN' to the reverse and shows some sign of age to the front (pictured below the contract number). The original cardboard insert which supports the glasses is also still present. To the rear the case has two openings which allow it to be worn on the belt.
A nice pair of vintage sunglasses in the classic aviator style.
