An original 1983 dated United States Army M65 Parka complete with matching liner.

This pattern of parka was introduced in the 1960s and labeled as the M65. This designation was changed to 'Parka, Extreme Cold Weather during the 1970s. It is a design classic which is instantly recognisable and has strong connections with the MOD and scooter scenes of the 20th Century.

The coat is made from a green coloured nylon cotton mix and the front fastens with a heavy duty brass zipper which features a fabric pull tab. Two large patch pockets are located to each hip which fasten with press studs and there is a drawstring at the waist. Inside the coat the original label is present. The DSA number is still legible which dates the coat to 1983 and the size is stated as large which is intended to fit between a 41" and 45" chest. When laid flat it measures -

Chest - 30"
Inside arm - 21"
Outside arm - 25 1/2"
Shoulders - 25"
Length at rear - 41 1/2"

The coat is in good condition with some limited signs of wear and use. There are no serious flaws or damage but please take time to study these and remember that these are a pre-owned, vintage pair of trousers which may have small issues commensurate with age.

The coat comes complete with a matching original liner which dates from 1985. The liner is removable allowing the coat to be worn in different climates. It is marked as a size medium and appears to fit the coat well.

A nice original example of this iconic parka.
