An Original RAF Ordinary Airman's Greatcoat dating from the early 1950s.
This pattern of Greatcoat was introduced in the immediate post-war years and closely resembles the wartime version. This example features brass Kings crown RAF buttons and Leading Aircraftsman insignia to the sleeves.
Inside the coat the original label is still intact with parts of it still being legible. It states the coat will fit a 40-41" chest and a height of 6' 1" - 6' 2". The original owner has marked his serial number onto the label in ink which has obscured some information but the coat dates from the early 1950s without a doubt.
The coat is in good condition with the usual signs of age and wear. Please study the pictures as these form part of the description.
All in all a good post-war greatcoat in a wearable size.
