An original 1980 dated MK 11 RAF flying suit in green, complete with original period applied pilots wing and in a large size 7.
This pattern of flying suit was produced throughout the 1970s and into the early 1980s. It is made from a green cotton material and features nickel plated 'NZ' examples which all function well. These zips are commonly found on British military clothing during this period. The suit features a period applied Queen's crown pilot's wing as well as a knife patch to the right leg which are both typical additions.
The suit retains its original labels which state it as being a size 7 . It also bears the War Department broad arrow stamp, the RAF stores code of 22C/1300200 and the date of February 1980. The original owner has added his name in ink.
All in all, a very good original Jet Age period flying suit which would certainly compliment a post-war RAF collection.
