An original pair of 1950s Dated RAF Battledress Trousers in good condition.
This pattern of trousers came into use with the RAF immediately after the Second World War and stayed in issue for many years. The trousers feature a button fly, a single rear pocket and belt loop as well as angled slash pockets.
Inside the trousers the original issue label is still present and reads 'War Service Dress Trousers New Pattern'. They are marked as a size 11 which are designed to fit a 34" waist. The maker's name of 'Alfred Polikoff' is present as is the War Department broad arrow marking and the date which reads 195*.
The trousers will suit a 30" waist and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 15"
Inside leg - 30 1/2"
The trousers are in good condition with only limited signs of wear and use. There are two small holes near the crotch although these are only noticeable under close scrutiny. Please study the pictures as they form part of the description and remember that they are a vintage pre-owned pair of trousers and may have issues consummate with this.
All in all, a good pair of 1950s issue RAF trousers.
