An original Royal Air Force Ordinary Airman's shirt which was made in the 1950s.
This pattern of shirt was introduced around the end of the Second World War and is made from an end-on-end cotton which is a darker shade to those worn by officers. It features a full button front, barrel cuffs and a neck band collar.
The shirt will suit around a 36" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat it measures -
Chest - 21"
Inside arm - 19 1/2"
Outside arm - 22 3/4"
Shoulders - 16 3/4"
Length - 32"
Collar - 14"
The shirt is in very good condition and is still very wearable with no real signs of wear or use. Please take time to study these before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage item with small issues commensurate with age.
