An original RAF Flying Suit MK.5 Incorporating Lining, dating from around the late 1960s to early 1970s.
This pattern of flying suit was used in conjunction with ejector seats and features a full zip out lining and can be fitted with an inflatable life vest. The suit features a plethora of details such as pockets and zips amongst other details. The pullers on the zips are all nickel plated 'NZ' examples, typical of the era.
Inside the suit all the original labels are present and are all still bright and legible. Both the inner and out suits are clearly marked as being size 3 with the outer baring the RAF reference number 22C/2003 and the inner being 22c/2075. The War Department broad arrow marking is also in evidence on the labels.
The suit is in good condition with only limited signs of wear and age. It is an issued, previously used item so may have some small issues consummate with this. Overall it displays very well.
A nice original Jet-age item which would make a great addition to any aviation collection!
