An original pair of French Army M1964 Combat trousers dated 1965. These trousers are often referred to a S300 or Sateen 300.
This pattern of trousers was the successor to the M47 trousers and the similarities are clear. They are made from a green coloured cotton sateen and feature a high rise waist, wide leg and reinforced knees - very similar to their predecessor. Another similarity if the large cargo style pockets which are fitted to each leg and the button fly. Belt loops are fitted around the waist and drawstrings are located to each cuff.
Inside the trousers two labels are present. The first bears the makers name 'H. Roquette et Fils', the town name of 'Lille' on the 1965 date. Next to this is a second label which bears the size.
The trousers will suit someone with a 28" waist and when liad flat measure -
Waist - 14 1/4"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 15 1/2"
Inside leg - 28"
Outside leg - 38 1/2"
Cuff - 7"
The trousers are in good condition with some signs of wear and use. They have been washed and there is some fading as well as some wear to the left knee. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that these a pre-worn pair of vintage trousers.
