An original pair of French Navy trousers made in denim which date from the 1940s.
This pattern of trousers was used by the French navy in the post-war year and are a classic mid Century design. They are made from a blue coloured denim material and feature a wide leg and mid rise waist as was common during this period. The trousers also have a separate waistband with belt loops, angled pockets at the hips and single patch pocket to the seat which fastens with a button. The fly also fastens with buttons.
The trousers will suit a 32" waist and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 16"
Rise - 12"
Rear rise - 15 1/2"
Inside leg - 25"
Outside leg - 36"
Cuff - 9 1/2"
The trousers are in worn condition with various signs of use and age. There are some nice original period repairs and some great fades as well as a small hole to the bottom of the right leg which is illustrated in picture 8. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a pre-worn vintage pair of trousers which have some small flaws commensurate with age.
A great looking pair of vintage work trousers which have a nice used look.
