An original pair of French M52 cotton drill shorts in a 35" waist.
This pattern of shorts was introduced following the Second World War and saw widespread issue with French Forces during the 1950s. They are made from a khaki coloured cotton drill material and a twin pleated front, slash pockets to each hip, a separate waistband with belt loops and twin pockets to the rear. The fastens with plastic buttons and inside there is a white size label with the number '5' as well as the maker's ink stamp which reads 'C.I.O Derval'.
The shorts will suit a 35" waist and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 17 1/2"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 17 1/2"
Inside leg - 6"
Outside leg - 18"
The shorts are in very good condition for their age with only limited signs of wear and age. Overall they display very well but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
