An original Belgian Army Camouflage Windproof Smock which is often referred to as the camo cadet smock.

This smock clearly takes some of its influence from the British camouflage windproof smock first seen in the Second World War. It is made from a cotton gabardine mix and features the classic 1950s belgian 'Moon & Balls' camouflage pattern which was screen printed onto the fabric. Like the British windproof smock, it features four patch pockets to the front which all fasten with buttons. Epaulettes are located to each shoulder and adjustable buttoning tabs are fitted at the end of each sleeve. The front of the anorak fastens with a French made brass 'Eclair' branded zip which is covered by a fly. This is secured with a press stud at the top and bottom, both of which are marked 'Prym Original'.

The smock is a smaller size which will suit around a 34" - 36" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat it measures -

Chest - 21 1/2"
Inside arm - 18 1/2"
Outside arm - 21"
Shoulders - 18 1/2"
Length at the rear - 25 1/2"

The smock is in good condition overall and displays well. The colours are still nice and bold with no signs of undue exposure to sunlight or heavy laundering. The jacket is totally wearable but has a small hole to the top of the right sleeve and another to the rear as illustrated in the pictures. Please take time to study these and bear in mind that it is a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.

A great looking vintage camouflage anorak with some nice details.
