SOLD

An original pair of Canadian Jungle Trousers dating from the 1940s to the early 1950s.

This pattern of trousers was produced during the 1940s and 1950s and was intended to be worn with a matching four pocket tunic made from the same green dyed cotton drill material. Like most trousers from the 1940s they feature a high rise waist, wide leg and button fly. There is a separate waistband which fastens with two belts and buckles of the style first seen on the British 1941 pattern khaki drill shorts and trousers. Belt loops are positioned around the waist and there are two rear pockets as well as slash pockets to the hips. All the buttons are metal donut buttons as were used on Canadian uniforms for a number of years.

The trousers will suit someone of a 29" waist and when laid flat they measure -

Waist - 14 1/2"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 16"
Inside leg - 28"
Outside leg - 39"
Cuff - 9"

The trousers are in used condition and have some great fades. There are some stains and there are numerous repairs to the legs which are visible in the pictures. Overall they are very wearable but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing.

A nice original pair of Canadian military trousers with some great details.
