A rare example of a British Army DPM Cold Weather Cap, often referred to a 'Crap Hats'.
This cap is an early example and dates from the 1970s. It was made by 'B.D. Hats and Garments Ltd' and is a large size 7 3/8 as can be seen stamped inside the hat.
The hat is made of a soft cotton which is printed in DPM camouflage and features fold down sides to cover the wearers ears and neck. The peak is soft and to the front of the cap is a metal eyelet in to which a cap badge can be fitted.
Altogether a nice original hat which has already become quite a rarity and certainly very collectable.
