A rare pair of original British Army jungle boots in a size 9.
This pattern of boots was introduced in the immediate post-war period and date from the late 1940s or 1950s. They saw issue in Malaya and Korea, amongst other places and are now hard to find.
The boots are made from a heavy weight, green coloured cotton canvas and feature black rubber soles as well as diamond shaped rubber patches at the ankles. The boots retain their original laces and the soles bear the manufacturer's initials of 'F.K' along with the size of 9.
The boots are in good condition and display well. There are some signs of wear and age but most of the rubber appears to be in good pliable condition. The rubber section inside the heels has hardened however.
Altogether a good example of this pattern of boot!
