An original 1970s British Army green wool shirt complete with an original parachute qualification wing.
This pattern of shirt came into issue with the British Army during the early 1970s and is made from a soft green coloured wool. It features chest pockets and a full button front along with short sleeves and epaulettes. The epaulettes have had shoulder titles fitted at some stage as can be seen by the wholes in the epaulettes.
An original period parachute qualification wing has ben stitched to the shirt and is certainly original to it.
The original label is still present inside the shirt and although it is somewhat washed-out some details can still be made out. The size is stated as 3 and when laid flat it measures -
Chest - 21"
Shoulders - 18 1/2"
Length -34 1/2"
The shirt is in very good condition as can be seen from the photographs. It displays very well with no signs of serious wear or damage that I can find.
All in all a nice shirt with original period insignia.
