Original 1964 Dated 'Trousers Drill Green Gurkha'

Original 1964 Dated 'Trousers Drill Green Gurkha'

Code: 54032

SOLD

An original pair of 1964 dated 'Trousers, Drill Green, Gurkha' in good condition.

This pattern of trousers was specifically produced for Gurkhas during the 1960s. They are made from the same jungle green coloured cotton as British made examples and feature a button fly and belt loops. Green plastic buttons are fitted throughout and slash pockets are located to the hips. The front of the trousers feature twin pleats and there are no rear pockets.

Inside the trousers the original label is still present. It bears the title along with the size of 'G 17' and the maker's name of 'Nate & Co'. The 1964 date is also present, as is the War Department broad arrow marking. The style of the label, the text and the shape of the broad arrow would suggest that these trousers were made in Hong Kong.

The trousers will suit a 28" waist and when laid flat they measure -

Waist - 14"
Rise - 13 1/2"
Rear rise -
Inside leg - 29"
Outside leg - 41"
Cuff - 9"

The trousers are in good condition overall with some signs of age and use. They are still a nice deep green colour and there is no serious damage or undue wear. There are various marks however which are illustrated in the pictures. Please take time to study these before purchasing.

A nice original pair of 1960s military trousers with a nice label.
