An original pair of 1950 Pattern 'Trousers, Drill Green' often referred to as jungle trousers.
This pattern of trousers came into issue with the British Army shortly after the Second World War and feature the cross belt closure to the waist, two slash pockets (one to each hip) and a map pocket to the side of the left leg.
This particular pair of trousers come complete with their original chromium plated buckles which fasten the two belts at the waist.
As well as this the trousers still retain their original issue label inside the waistband. The label states the trousers as being a size 12 which will fit someone of 6' to 6' 2" tall with a 37 - 39" waist. The waist is adjustable due to the cross belt design. The label also states the inside leg as being 34" so will fit someone tall.
The overall condition of the trousers is very good as can be seen in the photographs. They have been worn but do not show signs of excessive wear and there is no visible damage.
All in all a nice original pair of 1950 pattern trousers in a rare large size and in nice condition.
