An original pair of Royal Marine Khaki Drill Trousers dating from the 1950s and in good condition.

This pattern of trousers was produced for the Royal Marines for a number of years. Officially designated 'Trousers Drill Khaki R.M.', the trousers are made from the standard khaki coloured cotton drill material used during the 1940s and 1950s. They feature a twin pleated front, straight slash pockets, separate waistband with belt loops and a button fly. They are cut with a high rise waist and wide leg as is usually found during this period and have no rear pockets. The fly fastens with green coloured vegetable ivory (plastic) buttons and more of these are fitted around the waist to which braces can be attached.

Inside the trousers the original label is still present and bears the vocab number of 71946 along with the size of 46. The maker's name of 'Clifford Williams & Son Ltd' is also present.

The trousers are a large size which will suit a 40" waist and when laid flat they measure -

Waist - 20"
Rise - 16"
Rear rise - 19"
Inside leg - 31 1/2"
Outside leg - 45"
Cuff - 10 1/2"

The trousers are in good condition and display well. There are some signs of wear and use and some limited staining and marks but on the whole they are still very wearable. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.

A nice original pair of KD trousers in a hard to find large size.
