An original navy blue coloured British stable belt dating from the 1950s.
Stable belts became popular during the Victorian period and were worn throughout both World Wars as well as in the post-war period. They were often made in regimental colours and sometimes fitted with regimental cap badges, buttons and shoulder titles from other regiments.
This example is made from a navy blue coloured cotton webbing and features leather sections and chrome plated buckles and adjuster. A zipped pocket is also present which closes with a chrome plated 'Lightning' brand zipper.
The belt is adjustable and will fit between 32" and 40" waist.
The belt is in excellent condition as can be seen in the pictures with only limited to signs of wear and age.
A nice original period belt!
