Original 1950s British Private Purchase Khaki Drill Trousers - 30x33

Code: 53935

SOLD

An original pair of British Army private purchase Khaki Drill trousers made in the early 1950s.

These trousers are a close copy of the standard issue 1950 pattern trousers but have been specially made for a British officer. They are made from the standard tan-khaki coloured cotton drill and feature the double cross-over waist belts associated with this pattern (often referred to today as Gurkha Pants). These fasten with their original chromium plated single prong buttons which are often missing on trousers found today. The fly fastens with green coloured plastic buttons as were often used on British military clothing in the early 1950s. The trousers are cut with a high waist and wide leg and feature slash pockets to the hips and a single rear pocket.

The trousers will suit a 30" waist and when laid flat they measure -

Waist - 15 1/4"
Rise - 14 3/4"
Rear rise - 18"
Inside leg - 33"
Outside leg - 45 1/2"
Cuff - 9"

The trousers are in very good condition for their age with only limited signs of wear and use. They display well and are still very wearable but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.

A very nice pair of private purchase trousers in a harder to find tall size.
