An original British Army officer's short sleeved shirt dating from the 1950s.
This shirt came with a number of other officer's uniform items from the 1950s. It is made from cotton which has been lightly starched giving it a tough, hard wearing feel. It features two pleated patch pockets to the chest and a stand and fall collar. As well as this the shirt features a full button front and epaulettes are fitted to the shoulders.
The shirt will suit around a 40" chest and when laid flat it measures -
Chest - 22"
Collar - 16"
Shoulders - 18"
The shirt is in good condition and displays well. It is still wearable but does have some flaws including a hole to the shoulder (picture 5) and wear under the left arm (picture 3) and wear at the end of the sleeves. These flaws are reflected in the price so please study the pictures before purchasing.
A nice original 1950s military shirt.
