An original pair of British military khaki drill trousers dating from the 1950s and in good condition.
These trousers are a well made pair, typical of the quality items purchased by many British officers. They are made from a tan coloured cotton and feature a high rise waist and button fly. The trousers feature twin pleats to the front, straight slash pockets to each hip, a separate waistband and no rear pockets. All of these are common features to find on British made trousers from this period and they could easily pass as 1940s.
The trousers will suit someone of around a 36" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -
Waist - 18"
Rise - 14"
Rear rise - 18 1/2"
Inside leg - 31 1/2"
Outside leg - 44 1/2"
Cuff - 9 3/4"
The trousers are in good condition and have clearly been well looked after. They show only limited signs of wear and there is some minor soiling as can be seen in the pictures. Overall they present very well but please bear in mind that these are vintage, pre-worn trousers.
A nice pair of 1950s trousers with typical period details.
