An original British made Khaki Drill bush jacket dating from the 1950s.
At first glance this jacket appears to be the standard 1950 pattern KD Bush jacket which saw widespread issue during the 1950s. It differs however by having a five button front rather than the standard four. Aside from that it is the same pattern which is cut in a typical 'Safari' style. The jacket features pleated chest pockets with scalloped flaps, two lower flapped pockets and long sleeves.
There is no label inside the tunic but it will fit a 38" chest well. When laid flat it measures -
Chest - 22"
Inside arm - 16"
Outside arm - 22"
Shoulders - 19"
Length - 27"
The tunic is in well worn condition and has a large repair to the right sleeve at the armpit. There are also some holes and staining which are detailed in the pictures and have been reflected in the price. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing.
An interesting pattern of a 1950s bush jacket!
