Original 1950s British Army Officers Khaki Drill Trousers

SOLD

An original pair of British Army Officers Khaki Drill Trousers made by 'Jones, Chalk & Dawson' and dating from the 1950s.

These trousers are made from what appears to be a cotton blended with something, possibly rayon. They have more of a sheen and smoother texture than normal cotton drill and a slightly pink hue. They are cut in a traditional manner featuring a high rise waist and fishtail back. The fly fastens with buttons and more buttons are fitted around the waist to which braces can be fastened. All the buttons are marked with the maker's name.

The trousers are a generous size which will fit around a 36" waist depending on desired fit. When laid flat they measure -

Waist - 18 1/2"
Rise - 14 1/2"
Rear rise - 21"
Inside leg - 31 1/2"
Cuff - 9"

The trousers are in reasonable condition but have some signs of wear and age as shown in the pictures. There is some staining etc to the rear as well as the inner waistband and some faint marks to the crotch. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that these are a pre-worn pair of vintage trousers which may have other small issues commensurate with their age.

A nicely cut pair of trousers with a few flaws which have been reflected in the price.
