A scarce original second pattern British Army anti-gas pay book wallet in good condition.
This pattern was used throughout the majority of WW2 and replaced the early pattern which has a much larger article. It is made from cotton which is proofed with linseed to make it resistant to gas attacks. It features a piece of string which allows it to be worn around the owner's neck in the same fashion as his identity discs.
This example is in good condition with no damage etc.
Please note that the paybook shown in the pictures is for illustrative purposes and not included with the wallet.
