Original WW2 British Army Wireless Set Headphones

Original WW2 British Army Wireless Set Headphones

Code: 55848

SOLD

An original set of British Army headphones which date from the Second World War.

This pattern of headphones was used throughout the Second World War in conjunction with the 19, 22, 52 and 62 wireless sets, amongst others. It is the rarer pattern which has rubber ear pieces - this type can be seen in many original period pictures including in tanks and armoured fighting vehicles.

The headphones feature a wire frame as well as a canvas section. They are connected to a microphone via a wiring loom which ends in a socket plug.

The headphones come complete with one half of the original box which bears the signal's stores number of ZA21514.

The headphones are in good condition with some signs of age. Some sections of the outer cloth wiring loom is shedding and the rubber mouth piece on the microphone has hardened.

A nice original example which displays well.
