An original French military hospital jacket dating from the 1950s.
This jacket is made from a navy blue coloured wool and features a shawl collar, patch pockets and a matching waist belt. It is cut in a short dressing gown style with a wrap front which fastens with the waist belt. The interior features a black coloured partial cotton lining which bears the original maker's stamps in white.
The jacket will fit around a 40" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat it measures -
Chest - 22"
Inside arm - 19 1/2"
Outside arm - 26 1/4"
Shoulders - 20"
Length at rear - 31"
The jacket is in excellent condition with no real signs of wear and use. It displays very well with no obvious flaws or damage and is totally wearable. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
