An original pair of post Second World War Civil Defence Battledress Trousers.
These trousers are made from a deep navy blue coloured serge wool and feature a First Field Dressing Pocket to the left hip, slash pockets to each side seam, twin rear pockets and a button fly. The waistband is lined with a white coloured cotton drill and features more buttons which are designed to support braces.
The original label is still present inside the trousers and states 'Trousers Men's Battledress Blue' and the size as 15.
When laid flat they measure -
Waist - 18"
Inside leg - 28"
Outside leg - 40"
Cuff - 10"
The trousers are in good condition with only limited signs of wear and use. They are a vintage pre-worn item and may therefore have small issues commensurate with age. Overall they display well.
Whilst post war, these may make a good stand in for someone looking for a pair of trousers to wear with a Civil Defence, NFS or Navy uniform.
