A scarce example of the No.68 Rifle Grenade as used by the Home Guard during the Second World War.
This example is the MKIII variant and is clearly dated 1942. I acquired this as part of a large Home Guard collection, the majority of which had come directly from veterans. An original manual dated 1942 is also included with this item complete with the original owners name.
The condition of this piece is very good. The threads that join the different pieces all work well and the stamping is extremely clear. Sadly the nose cap is missing but this could be sourced.
A rare item which would compliment any Home Guard collection.
