SOLD

An original German herringbone twill chore jacket in blue and dating from the 1970s.

This type of jacket is synonymous with artisans, workers and labourers of the mid-century period in Europe and is now an extremely iconic jacket.

This example dates from the 1970s with the collar shape being an typical of this period. It is made from a lightweight blue coloured herringbone twill cotton and features black coloured plastic buttons and three patch pockets are located to the front.

The jacket is a medium size which will suit around a 40" chest depending on desired fit. When laid flat it measures -

Chest - 22 1/2”
Inside arm - 19”
Outside arm - 24 1/4”
Length - 28”
Shoulders - 18 3/4”

The condition of the jacket is reasonable considering it is a vintage work piece. It has some fantastic fades and other signs of wear and use. One cuff has worn through as illustrated in picture 4 and there is a reapir to the left elbow. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a pre-worn, vintage work jacket.

A good original example with lots of character, staining and wear - as they should be!
