An original men's tweed flat cap which was made by the famous British brand 'Dunn & Co' during the 1960s.
This style of flat cap was extremely popular throughout the 1960s. It features a much smaller crown and brim than those from previous decades. It is made from a classic tweed wool which is a hand woven Harris Tweed of green, oatmeal and brown tones.
Inside the cap is fully lined and the original maker's label is still present. It bears the maker's name of 'Dunn & Co' as well as 'The Rutland County Co'. There is also a size label which bears both the old imperial sizing of '7' as well as the metric size of 57.
The hat is in good condition with some signs of wear and use. Please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that it is a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
