An original 1960s men's shirt made by 'Bonart' which is in dead stock, unworn condition.

This shirt is typical of those made in the 1960s for men in Great Britain. It features a full button front and close fitting shape as well as a cutaway collar which was prevalent in the 1950s and into the first half of the 1960s. The shirt is made from a lightweight poplin cotton material which is white with a fine tattersall check pattern.

Inside the shirt the original label is still present and features typical period graphics. It carries the manufacturer's name of 'Bonart' and the collar size of 17. When laid flat it measures -

Chest - 25 1/2"
Inside arm - 22"
Outside arm - 25 3/4"
Shoulders - 19"
Length at back - 32 1/2"

The shirt is in excellent, unworn condition as can be seen in the pictures. Based on the fact the original cardboard swing ticket is still present, this shirt is most likely a deadstock, unworn example. Overall it still displays extremely well but please study the pictures carefully before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-worn item which has some flaws commensurate with age.

A very nice shirt which is so typical of the era. This would make a great addition to any vintage wardrobe!
