An original 1960s corduroy double breasted 'klettervest ' jacket which is in good condition and was made in the 1960s.
This style of jacket is a traditional piece of Dutch clothing and were produced in a variety of fabrics including moleskin and corduroy. They were popular in Holland during the early part of the 20th Century and has a typical silhouette for the period. It is made from a caramel brown coloured corduroy and features an 6 x 2 button stance. Three zipped pockets are located to the front, as is often found with this style and all of them are 'RiRi' branded examples. They all feature leather binding to the edges which is a typical detail. The reverse of the collar is faced with black coloured moleskin which is a nice detail.
The interior of the jacket is lined with a black coloured cotton and there is a hanging loop at the neck which has split in the centre.
The jacket will suit a 44" chest and when laid flat it measures -
Chest - 25"
Inside arm - 17 1/2"
Outside arm - 25 1/2"
Shoulders - 19 1/2"
Length at rear - 24 1/2"
The jacket is in good condition for its age and is still totally wearable. There are some signs of wear and age but overall it displays well. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
