An original British made livery waistcoat dating from the 1920s.

This style of waistcoat was commonly used for livery for a number of decades by coachmen, footmen and other similarly employed men. Being used for work but also having to be very smart it bridges the gap between workwear and suiting in an interesting manner. The waistcoat is made from a yellow coloured and the front features a long shawl lapel and a three button front. The interior is lined with a white coloured cotton drill and yellow cotton is used for the back panel. There is a cinch back belt and buckle to the rear as is often encountered with waistcoats of this vintage.

The waistcoat is a smaller size which will suit around a 32" chest depending on desired fit. When laid flat it measures -

Chest - 16"

The waistcoat is in good condition overall with some signs of wear and age. There are no serious flaws and it is totally wearable. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-worn item which has some flaws commensurate with age.

A striking original piece of workwear from the inter-war period.
