£185.00 Approx $230.39, €215.37

A nice original British engineer work jacket made during the 1950s by 'Lancashire Bedding & Equipment Ltd'.

This style of jacket was very popular in the UK throughout the first half of the 20th Century. The simple three button design is typical of the period as are the revolving shank 'bachelor' buttons which can be removed when the jacket is washed. These are made of white plastic and appear to be original to the jacket. The jacket features three patch pockets to the front as is commonly found on this style. The jacket is made from a white coloured cotton drill material and features no rear vent which is another typical period feature. The lapels are short and have a pronounced shape which is typical of earlier jackets from the 1930s and 1940s meaning this could easily pass as an earlier jacket.

Inside the jacket the original label is still present. It features the maker's name of 'Lancashire Bedding & Equipment Ltd of Manchester' in blue against a plain white field.

The jacket is a medium size which is intended to fit a 40" chest and when laid flat the jacket measures -

Chest - 22"
Inside arm - 17 1/2"
Outside arm - 25"
Shoulders - 17"
Length - 28"

The jacket is in good condition as can be seen in the photographs. It shows signs of age and wear etc as well as some staining. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage item which may have small issues commensurate with age.

A nice piece of British workwear in a classic colour and complete with its original label.
