An original pair of French Corduroy trousers dating from the 1950s.
This style of trousers was extremely popular with French labourers, Artisans and workers throughout the mid-Century period. Made from a dark brown, almost black coloured, thick corduroy material; the trousers feature a mid rise waist and conservative cuff width as was popular during this period. The trousers feature a button fly as well as a separate waistband with belt loops. Buttons are positioned around the waist to which braces can be attached and there is a small ticket pocket to the front which is a nice period detail.
The trousers will suit a 34" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat measure -
Waist - 17"
Rise - 12 1/2"
Rear rise - 15"
Inside leg - 28"
Outside leg - 38 1/2"
Cuff - 8"
The trousers are in worn condition as can be seen in the pictures. There are signs of wear and age but overall they appear to be sound and wearable. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre=owned pair of work trousers.
A classic pair of 1950s French work trousers with some great details.
